What is the meaning of Equality? It signifies that all races and genders possess identical rights, ensuring no individual is superior to another. Equality denotes the condition of having equal rights and opportunities.

An American videographer who documented life in Downtown Manhattan's arts and club scene from 1983 until his passing, Nelson Sullivan was an activist who advocated for the LGBTQ generations of the 1980s and those that followed. His final video captures his last words as he was about to embark on a new journey, but unfortunately, he passed away on July 4, 1989. Nelson's last words to the world were, "It's July the third, and it's the last day that I'm going to have, not to be running."
This video demonstrates that the 1960 Stonewall was not the first location where people started advocating for their rights. It's important for all generations to understand the history of their ancestors and how they fought for each and every one of us.
LGBTQ+ History
Welcome to Britney J Torres website, which is devoted to presenting the LGBTQ+ community's rich history. Although schools frequently ignore this lovely culture, we think it's critical to inform people about the struggles and contributions of LGBTQ+ people. Through advocacy and education, we hope to increase understanding and acceptance of the LGBTQ+ community and storytelling.

In the 1960s, parents and other communities often viewed the LGBTQ community as outsiders, believing that their orientation could be "cured" and treating it as if it were a disease.
Doctors used electric shock therapy because they believed that being LGBTQ could be cured.
In this website, you will explore the legendary figures from LGBTQ history, including Nelson Sulivan, Michael Musto, Marsha P. Johnson, Harvey Milk, and many others such as Adam Graham, a former Mayor of Oklahoma.

Love

I cannot prevent anyone from getting angry, or mad, or frustrated. I can only hope that they'll turn that anger and frustration and madness into something positive, so that two, three, four, five hundred will step forward, so the gay doctors will come out, the gay lawyers, the gay judges, gay bankers, gay architects ... I hope that every professional gay will say 'enough', come forward and tell everybody, wear a sign, let the world know. Maybe that will help.

There is a law that gay people can't be married, but there is no law that two humans cannot love one another. "Quoted Harvey Milk"
