Love and Smile!

I'm overjoyed to have had the opportunity to photograph this LGBTQ supporter. During Spring Break 2023, I was strolling through the streets of New Orleans when I came across this lovely statement written on the ground.

Why is it that, even though we all understand the value of love, we all decide to go in different directions? Since I enjoy going on solo walks and exploring, I'll be honest: I got lost and didn't know where I was. I was afraid because I was far from home and my phone was severely depleted.

I had no idea whether or not I would make it back to Texas alive. It took me to make a call before my cell phone ran out of power. Fortunately, the person I called came looking for me and found me unharmed.

I met a really pleasant man and learned a little bit about New Orleans history when I was exploring again. There are rumors of witches in New Orleans, which thrilled me. I cherish the history that I was given, whether it is true or not. Being kind and loving to others doesn't cost anything in this life.

You can learn a lot from other people, so if you ever just want to go for a walk and meet new people, make sure you greet them politely and share your experiences.
